The AP District Honor Roll recognizes school districts that have demonstrated their commitment to increasing access to AP for underrepresented students while simultaneously maintaining or increasing the percentage of students earning AP Exam scores of 3 or higher.

In addition, each year, three districts (small, medium, and large) making dramatic improvements among traditionally underrepresented student populations receive the distinction of AP District of the Year.

The 2017 winners—Gwinnett County School District (GA), Lynwood Unified School District (CA), and Joliet Township High School District 204 (IL)—prove it’s possible to expand college-level learning opportunities to a broader group of students while maintaining high standards of performance.
